Conversation club and other social activities Once a week the students from Speak meet socially to chat in English. This conversation club has proved very popular over the years as students find its good fun and a chance to practise fluency. Sometimes we use these gatherings to play games such as trivial pursuit and other times we just chat. The main idea is that students begin to feel confident using the English that thay have learned in class. We meet also for other social activities such as Wine tasting, Scottish dancing, English food dinner and end of term dinners and parties. We plan to extend these gatherings to a weekend in the country, of course, speaking in English.
